So I had some ground turkey already cooked in the fridge so I basically sauteed it in a frying pan with a little oil, chopped white onions, a little bit of chopped red bell pepper. Then Court mixed up the simple sauce from the recipe and we mixed it in, simmered it for 5 minutes or so.
We used whole wheat sandwich thins (lower cal and still delicious!) and put sloppy joe mixture on 4 halves and sprinkled some mexican cheese on top, baked it in the oven at 415 degrees for 2-3 minutes and PRESTO! Cheap, healthy, good. The golden attributes of college cooking.
